STEP 3:  Mining literature and other information in relation to mining regulations, safety and legal requirements etc.

 

All relevant information regarding issues such as explosives, mining safety and other legal requirements is available from PIRSA. The Mintabie field officer Steve Sigler is an extremely experienced miner with decades of knowledge about mining, Mintabie and surrounding areas.

Many booklets and brochures are available at the PIRSA offices. One new publication, "Safety in Opal Mining" (pictured) is a new publication produced by Mining and Quarrying, and is available free at PIRSA field offices until stocks run out.
